Morning Shifts:

Plan to arrive no later than 3:30 AM.

At the bottom of the hill, turn left into Gate 1 or 2 to enter the East Parking Lot.  Walk through Gate 13.

All workers are required to report to the Kiwanis Compound to sign in. You may also have a hot drink and a snack before your work assignment begins. You will be assigned as a ticket seller, a ticket scanner or another function that we choose. We will provide transportation to get you to your assigned work location at one of the gates.

Morning shifts usually end about 8:00 AM. However, you may not leave your assigned work location until dismissed by your Gate Director. Sellers must arrange their cash by denomination and their remaining tickets for close out by the Gate Director for each gate. EVERYONE will report back to the Kiwanis Compound to sign out and be released. Remember that only your Gate Director decides when the shift is complete. Remember to check in before each event and after each event at the Kiwanis Compound or you may not be paid for your work.

Music Fiesta

The Music Fiesta will occur only on Saturday, October 14th. If you are working at the Music Fiesta only, please check in at the Kiwanis Compound at 10:00 AM on that Saturday. Be prepared for extra traffic (outbound) which could slow you down as you try to return to the park.

At about 3:30 PM we will begin a transition from Music Event to Balloon Event. Those working the Music Fiesta should be released about 4:00 PM. Once again, you will need to check out at the Kiwanis Compound when your scheduled work assignment is complete and you have been released by your Gate Director.

General:

Balloon Fiesta Management has created a series of general training videos which every worker is asked to view prior to the in-person training session. These videos are posted on this website. Scroll down to Basic Training, videos 1 through 5:

If it rains and you are scheduled to work, you MUST come to the Balloon Fiesta and check in to be released. Sometimes the weather improves and we work anyway. We will pay everyone who checks into any weather cancelled event for a full four-hour shift.

We look forward to working with all of you again this year. Without your assistance, we would never be able to have such a successful Balloon Fiesta

Sincerely,
